The international jury of the 51st annual World Press Photo Contest selected a color image of the UK photographer Tim Hetherington as World Press Photo of the Year 2007. The picture was taken 16 September 2007 and shows a US soldier resting at “Restrepo” bunker, named after a soldier from his platoon who was recently killed by insurgents.
The 2nd Battalion Airborne of the 503rd US infantry is undergoing a deployment in the Korengal Valley in the Eastern province of Afghanistan. The valley is infamous as the site of downing of a US helicopter and has seen some of the most intense fighting in the country. Hetherington’s photograph is part of a picture story that was also awarded 2nd Prize in General News Stories. He had traveled to Afghanistan on assignment for Vanity Fair.

Because i am a Canon user, but i want to share this favorite lens to other nikonian all around the world. I had ask some friends who are an Nikonians about what they are favorite Nikon lens.
This is my articles base on their answers. And they had give me what the strong point of their favorite lens.
1. Nikon 50mm f/1.8D AF Nikkor Lens - Sharp, Great DOF control, Fast focus. This lens is so versatile (and inexpensive) that I think everyone should own in addition to all the lenses that they already have. Being a very fast lens, it enables me to take pictures in low light (sport/action photography) that I otherwise wouldn’t be able to do.
2. Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8G ED-IF AF-S VR Zoom Nikkor Lens - is one of the Nikon lens used by every professional photographer every day. The other lens is usually a wide zoom on a second body. This is Nikon’s latest professional workhorse lens. Sharp at every aperture. Sharp with tele converters. And the VR helps you achieve that sharpness. Great dof! Gorgeous out-of-focus rendering, perhaps as good as any existing Nikkor.

Learning photography not enough only from an internet, many peoples have to read the books and practice what they read with taking their camera and shoot.
There are many books to sell now on internet and some of them is greats. I would like to give you an advise which books should you have to learning photography.
1. The Digital Photography Book, Volume 2 (Digital Photography) by Scott Kelby
Like Mr. Kelby’s best-selling first Digital Photography Book, this book is a gem. Every page is a single tip, clearly explained and illustrated. It’s like sitting next to the best photographer you know while he explains what gear you need, and when and how to use it. No matter what brand your camera, what level your experience, or how big your budget, you’re sure to find this book useful, but there are some good tips but the book is incredibly short. I went through the whole thing in about 2 hours. He gives some good advice on using a flash and setting up a studio for about 1/3 of the book. The last 2/3 are filled with photography tips showing pictures and then explaining how to get the same picture. Most of the advice I found was pretty basic although I did learn a few things here and there. This would have been a good book if I was brand new to digital photography. It’s well written and his tips are good but I was looking for something little more in-depth than this.

Thanks to all my friends who let me tried their lenses when i took a pictures. Sorry for another brand of lenses, i will try to use it in other times…
- Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM Telephoto Zoom Lens - This is the best lens with great depth of field for human interest and peoples photography
- Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM SLR Lens - One of ultra wide lense from Canon that use for Landscape photography. Be careful with its fisheye view at 10mm focal length and this lens can not be used for full frame Canon cameras like 5D
- Canon EF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM Lens - It is reasonably high quality, reasonably fast, reasonably wide range, and reasonably light
